DC Repeal Day Ball

I had a great time at the Repeal Day ball on Friday night. This event, organized by the DC Craft Bartenders Guild, was held at the City Tavern. The best mixologists in the city were on hand with some classic and new creations, and we sipped while enjoying a 1930s jazz band.

My favorite drinks were Derek Brown's Domaine de Canton-based concoction, and Gina Chersevani's citrusy and refreshing cocktail made with one of my favorite liqueurs--Campari. I'll be writing recaps for several publications, and I'll send the links when they are out.

It was great to party like it was 1933. Long live Repeal, and may no one else ever have the misguided idea for another "noble experiment."
