Smoke signals behind the bar

Want to try your hand at a smoky concoction? Try Las Vegas-based beverage consultant and mixologist John Hogan's Smoked Margarita:

Smoked Margarita

1.5 oz. Milagro Reposado Tequila
.75 oz. Patron Citronge Liqueur
2 oz. fresh lime juice
1 oz. mild agave nectar (could substitute simple syrup, but use less as it's sweeter)
.25 oz. Smoked Tequila Tincture (see recipe below)

Combine first five ingredients, shake and strain over fresh ice into a highball or margarita glass. Garnish with smoked sea salt and a grilled lime wheel (section lime wheel, baste with agave nectar, grill over high heat for 2-3 minutes per side)

Smoked Tequila Tincture:
In Kettle grill or smoker, smoke 1 liter of Milagro Silver Tequila over hickory chips for 2-3 hours in a steel pan. Store in sealable jar or bottle.
