Featured Cocktail: Founder's Fizz
The carbonated cocktail trend emerged last year, as bars started offering gin and tonics and other libations on tap. And if you have a soda siphon (like this one from isi) you can easily recreate this technique at home.
Beverage consultant (and The Cocktail Guru) Jonathan Pogash teamed up with Sandeman Port to create a effervescent elixir, with Sandeman Founders Reserve Port and blended Scotch. The addition of honey cucumber water makes it a perfectly refreshing warm weather sipper.
Founder's Fizz Courtesy of Jonathan Pogash and Sandeman Port 2 oz. Sandeman Founders Reserve Port 1/2 oz. Ballentine's Blended Scotch Whisky 3/4 oz. blood orange juice 3/4 oz. sweet honey-cucumber water (diluted honey in warm water in a 1:6 ratio, add cucumber slices, steep until desired flavor is achieved, remove solids) Cucumber slice, for garnish
Add all ingredients except garnish to your carbonator of choice, and carbonate. Pour over ice into a tall glass.
