Featured Cocktail: Ruffino Elisir Magico
Mixologist Troy Sidle of New York's Pouring Ribbons recently teamed up with Ruffino to create a few bubbly seasonal sips. The photos and recipes came across my Inbox a few weeks ago, and this cocktail piqued my interest. The sweet, floral notes of Moscato d'Asti are tempered by Angostura bitters and Nux Alpina Black Walnut Liqueur--I love this product, and I think it's perfect for this time of year, when many dishes and desserts have walnuts and pecans in additional to other seasonal ingredients like pumpkin, cranberry and apple. Try this libation on your holiday table alongside pumpkin pie, pecan tassies, walnut kiffles or wet walnuts served over red wine-poached pears and mascarpone.

6 oz. chilled Ruffino Moscato d'Asti
1/2 oz. Nux Alpina Black Walnut Liqueur
1 dash Angostura bitters
Orange twist, for garnish
Add liqueur and bitters to a wine glass or flute, Top with Moscato d'Asti, and garnish with an orange twist.
